From anti-reflective and hard coat to blue light filtering and photochromic treatments, coatings go on in our lab, not at an outside coater.
That keeps turnaround short and results consistent, and every coated lens is inspected for defects, uniformity and adhesion before it ships.
What we apply
Six coating types. Several combine on one lens in the packages below.
- Anti-reflective
- Multi-layer AR that cuts glare and reflections, sharpens vision and improves how the lens looks. Available in standard, premium and super-hydrophobic tiers.Less glare, clearer vision, better cosmetics, several tiers.
- Scratch-resistant hard coat
- A durable hard coat on both surfaces that resists everyday wear and extends the life of the lens.Front and back application, impact-resistant options, works with every material.
- Blue light filtering
- Filters blue-violet light from screens and artificial lighting, for patients who spend long days on devices.Filters HEV blue light, clear lens appearance, stacks with AR.
- Hydrophobic and oleophobic
- Water-repellent, smudge-resistant top coats that keep lenses clean longer and make them easier to wipe.Water beads off, resists fingerprints, included in premium AR.
- UV protection
- UV-A and UV-B protection, built into the lens material or applied as a coating.Material or coating options, no tint needed, keeps the lens clear.
- Mirror and fashion
- Mirror finishes and fashion tints for sun lenses and cosmetic work, in several colors and densities.Mirror colors, custom tint matching, gradients, sport and fashion styles.
